Instructional Designer: Raycelle Garcia

An optional, self-paced edX Edge course designed to help students enrolled in a required university-level calculus and statistics course at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This course was built to help alleviate the fairly high fail rate of this course. In particular, this course was designed for students who did not take advanced mathematics classes in secondary school or need a refresher in these mathematics topics.

My responsibilities in this project included:

• Adapting and extending existing pre-calculus LaTeX instructional sheets into 11 interactive videos using H5P and accompanying quizzes on the edX platform
• Setting up the educational content and assessments in the pre-calculus section of an edX Edge course
• Reviewing and reporting usage statistics
