Training Developer and Facilitator: Raycelle Garcia

Required onboarding training for new instructors at First Code Academy, including full-time, part-time and internship instructors. Content primarily included pedagogical training to prepare new hires for in-person teaching in the classroom. Administrative and general company training also was included. Total length of sessions ranged from 5-8 hours and had required assignments.

My responsibilities in this project included:

• Maintaining and updating training content
• Leading training sessions
• Scheduling sessions, including coordinating with other departments for other required company training (e.g. branding, customer success) for full-time hires
• Communicating and coordinating with trainees
• Assessing and evaluating trainee performance and assignments for instructor readiness
• Ongoing instructor coaching and management
